If you work with various agencies and are currently on PAYE, you may have multiple tax codes and may be liable to emergency tax while working with one over the other. When you use Evolve’s umbrella services, you will have one employer and one tax code, so you won’t have to worry about paying too much in emergency tax. You will be granted the same employment benefits as a regular employee, allowing you the flexibility of working as an independent contractor while also having an employee’s security. If you don’t have the time to deal with a lot of paperwork or don’t have self-employment but want to maximise your earning potential, an umbrella option might be good.
KEY BENEFITS:
You will send your timesheet, pay rate, and expenses information to us and your recruiting agency on a weekly or monthly basis, depending on your preference. We will invoice your agency based on the information provided and wait for payment.
When we receive payment from your agency, we will pay you a net salary after subtracting appropriate taxes and national insurance contributions (NIC). Depending on your pay schedule, you will be paid weekly or monthly and receive payment notifcation.
If you choose the PAYE Umbrella option, you will become an Evolve employee. All payments made to you are subject to taxation and national insurance (NI). At the moment of collection, we deduct tax and NI and pay your net salary in line with your payment plan.
